A Little Background on LVD...
In the "breeding world" we are still considered fairly new breeders. We started with just a love for this amazing breed as a companion and went from there.
Growing up my family always had a love for animals, especially large breed dogs. We never owned a Dane, but with it's large stance and regal appearance they seemed to be the perfect breed. I did a lot of research on the breed and off we were on our way. We got our start with three Danes: Porsha, Diesel, and Mercedes(pictured on the right). My initial plans were just owning them as pets. I fell in love with them immediately and so I started my homework on breeding.
After a couple years of research and help from other knowledgeable breeders we had our first litter. The puppies were healthy and beautiful! Finding them loving homes was the hardest thing I had ever done; but at the same time it was very rewarding. I still keep in touch with the owners of our first litter (as well as others) and all of them still own their Danes, happy and healthy soon-to-be three year-old pups.
Although we have not been at this very long, we have learned a lot and we have a small circle of other breeders that have continued to help us along the way. We strive for excellence, and most importantly health! Many of our dogs have been imported (EURO), but we have a wide variety of pedigree backgrounds. We recently got our first "show girl" and we are excited to get her in the ring!
All of our dogs are bred and live with us inside our home. We have a 2.5 story house that sits on a few acres and most of it is owned by the Danes. We love this noble, smart, loving breed and wouldn't trade them for the world, drool and all! Explore our site and feel free to contact us any time with any questions you may have.
